Hello MotherFumblrs,
Earlier this morning, I received an email from the VP of Community Support of Tumblr. In this email he stated, “[I] feel the application will have a negative effect upon the Tumblr community. So, we are revoking its API access.” This caused the technical difficulties users were experiencing earlier and ultimately will lead to the shutdown of the site. I am disapointed that Tumblr has taken this route, as I feel that MotherFumblr has had a positive influence in the community. I also received an email from their legal counsel warning that they may take legal action if the site remains active.
It saddens me to inform all of the loyal users that as of now, the site will be taken down to avoid a potential lawsuit from Tumblr. However, Bernard Software Solutions will continue to make the social networking experience easier and more effective. If you liked the MotherFumblr app and are interested in our future endeavors, you can reply with your name/email and we will update you on future projects. I hope that throughout MotherFumblr’s short run, many of you have benefited from the site. At midnight tonight, the site will no longer function. Good luck with your blogs, and have a happy New Year.
Thank you for your loyal support,
Brad Bernard
